World Pulse Festival 2008

24 08 2008

Whew, sorry it’s taken a bit to get these posted (quicker than last year though! (wink)) 🙂 LOL Anyway, this was one of those truly golden days of summer. Hot temps, yet not unbearable. Wonderful sunshine, great people and friends and wonderfully fantablulous music.

World Pulse Festival 2008 included the music of Mandisa (American Idol), Skillet, Toby Mac and Casting Crowns. I hope I didn’t forget anyone. It was all good. http://www.worldpulsefestival.com/

Thanks Kristin! Another great concert! 😀 😀 😀

Here are a few of my fave pictures:

It was an honor and privilege to be able to see several legendary NASA astronauts this weekend. They helped to shape our journey through the last 40 something years at NASA. The first and last men on the moon, Neil Armstrong and Eugene Cernan both talked to a crowd of engineering and space enthusiasts, future astronauts, engineers and many others Saturday, October 27, 2007 at the dedication of the $53.2 million Neil Armstrong Hall of Engineering.

Mayor of Lafayette, Tony Roswarski

Many of NASA’s other astronauts were there to be honored and celebrated as well.

2007 Bridal Affair for Family Services

17 01 2007

I just wanted to thank everyone who stopped by the booth Sunday and wish them luck in the new year and with their planning.

I also wanted to give a big thank-you to everyone that made the Bridal Affair happen. Family Services is a great host and it’s a great cause.

It was a terrific day as far as turn out went. I know I have several prime dates booked already due to the exposure. I wish I had taken a picture of the booth, I’ll try to remember my camera next year!

Brides, grooms, mothers of the brides & grooms, don’t forget photography when planning out your wedding. You don’t want to miss out on images of all your hard work that went into the day. We do a limited amount of weddings per year, so give us a call at 765.477.2153 or email christy@mcgreevymarksphoto.com to schedule a consultation and/or book your date.

Carl Wieman ~ Nobel Laureate

9 11 2006

I had the privilege of taking images for the School of Education at Purdue University Monday evening. The speaker was Carl Wieman, 2001 Nobel Laureate in physics. He spoke on “Science Education in the 21st Century.” Although much of the physics was over my head (grins), it was extremely interesting to hear his views on education in physics at the University level.
